CONCO’s extensive project management and design skills have allowed us to successfully enter the railway industry, where we offer turnkey AC/DC substation solutions and where our specific experience is in 3kV DC and 25kV & 50kV AC substations. Our skilled Protection & Automation Division designs and supplies the associated control and protection systems.
In recent years Transnet and the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa; previously Metrorail) have invested large sums of money to refurbish 3kV DC and 25kV AC traction substation systems. CONCO has enjoyed a substantial share of this market and today enjoys preferential status with these customers, as a result of our consistent quality and service.
